Grateful for the Sexaholics Anonymous Convention in Russia

After returning home from the annual SA Convention in Russia, I would like to share my gratitude for the amazing experience. I am grateful for so many things, including the following:

  • Seeing where I'm playing control center in the fellowship, and for the power to let go of this character trait
  • Doing Step Nine amends and learning to have kind, forgiving relations based on helping others
  • Seeing a gap in my recovery with "we"; I was not really aware of the need for connection;
  • Finding encouragement by the service of my brothers and sisters in the SA fellowship, and finding warm communications and an accepting atmosphere
  • Meeting new people
  • Hearing others share the miracles of sex addiction recovery, and the miracles that God is working in their lives
  • The care of my mother
  • My sponsor
  • Meeting face to face many people that I have only known via Internet or phone calls
  • A great opportunity to grow and become happier
  • A new vision of freedom from self, willingness to clean my side of the street even if the other person was also wrong, and willingness to take action through fear and taking.
  • Courage to be more honest with myself and others
  • Learning to encourage rather than to instruct
  • Seeing how much God can do in my life if I let Him
  • The opportunity to share my experience, strength, and hope, as well as what was eating me
  • Feelings of belonging
  • Feeling my feelings
  • Learning to listen and to share from the heart
  • Baby steps in melting the old cold iceberg of distrust in my heart
  • For meeting our guests from Ireland, Poland, Slovakia, USA, Ukraine, Belarus,
  • For the fun, songs, music, and singing together
  • For learning more about sponsoring and caring the message

AND lastly--that it's time to go home :)
