Internet use without porn

When I first came into SA, I had to throw my computer out of my house. I would go to the library a couple of times a week to work on the computers there, for one hour each time.  After 1.5 years I was able by God's grace to take a computer back into my house.  This was well-planned with my sponsor, and for the past 4.5 years, I’ve been able to have an unfiltered computer in my house. God is doing miracles for me, but I have to let Him do so—and in His time, not mine. I cannot keep the steering wheel in my own hands while pretending to have given it to Him.

To those who continue relapsing on the Internet and say that they need a computer for work or some other reason, I respond by saying that, if they had a disease by which they couldn't work on the computer anymore--perhaps some kind of a rare cancer or whatever--then they would get rid of the computer and change their job if needed. So the problem here boils down to Step One: namely, they still don’t believe that they have a chronic, progressive, and fatal disease. And as long as I don't accept that, and am not willing to go to ANY lengths to do whatever is needed to recover, I am doomed to continue relapsing.
